So what is my philanthropic mission in life?
Think of all of the hundreds of non-profit organizations that exist in this world. Organizations with missions to alleviate the suffering of street children and orphans. Now imagine if you could have an unshakable confidence to give to these charities because you knew for a fact that your charitable donation or volunteer work would leave a lasting, sustainable impact on the cause you hold so dear. Like so many others, you might find that you want to give but you just aren't sure that a charity is truly helping.
The well-being of the world's most vulnerable children is my passion. As a non-profit executive with several years of experience, I traveled all over the world visiting Orphanages and I saw so many organizations that started out with a noble cause but lost their footing along the way. It became my mission to empower and strengthen these organizations. To build them into the charities they deserve to become and in the process, ensure that they remain honest and true to their mission.
Through my travels and philanthropic endeavors, it became clear that there is a desperate need for quantifiable standards by which the quality of a non profit organization could be held accountable, so that donors can feel confident donations are being used effectively.
This vision begins with the production of a website that connects donors and volunteers with proven organizations. The staff of the marketing company, Advertising on Fire (AOF), has generously donated their services to make this vision a reality. AOF is currently developing a website will share the stories of charitable organizations around the world. This website will connect people that want help with the non profits that truly make a difference.
As the International Orphanage Society grows, Grady's vision is to create a membership program that hold organizations to high standards of accountability. An additional goal of the International Orphanage Society goal is to assist organizations in ascending to our high standards of excellence. To do this IOS will help them receive the resources and training they need in order to ensure integrity and long term sustainability of these organizations!
